walleye fry killed off this year??Has anyone else heard this?Heard from a good source that when they sprayed the lake for weeds this year for some reason it killed all the fry??Wounder if that means all the fry?gills bass ect.
I know they killed way to many weeds this year spots I fish normally have nice weed beds are no longer there and fish are gone too!I understand the controlling weeds but they over killed them this year as far as I'm concerned.
When you go to 8 spots that hold fish year round longer hold a fish do to no weeds for baitfish to hide also the fish.
Josh wondering if anyone else heard this??
thanks tight lines

Well……I’ll tell you. This lake may be 6000 acres but 5500 of it is under 6 feet. Anything less than 10n feet has weeds up to the surface. So I spent a lot of time parked on the weed edges and casting along the edge. Tuesday we arrived and got settled in then drove around getting acclimated. Had dinner and crashed. Wednesday started out nice enough but by 10 am we had 20 mph windRollers were 3-4 feet. Had a difficult time getting back to the dock. Only caught a couple of fish. Small. Thursday was better so I came in for lunch and grabbed my wife. I caught northerns, bass, crappies and gills. Friday was raining at 5 am and windy so I was glad that I pulled the boat Thursday night. Went shopping downtown Shawano friday. Had some good food at a place called Classics and the Farmhouse. Bait shop guys were all complaining that no one has been fishing for the last month because it’s either been raining or windy or both. Neither one had very much bait lLike 3 dozen minnows in each tank and no jumbo leeches.

One would think, due to water temp that the fish are in their summer mode. Yet Cecil is fairly shallow as I see by the maps. Your thoughts?? BB
